March 2020 our lives during the pandemic, slowed down ; the most precious thing of our fundamental existence, freedom was put on hold. The freedom to freely live as we want & please.
For travellers like me , we sadly realized during this pandemic, travel has changed. This is not music for anyone because this is now our reality. As a result , travelling will now be more complicated , unaccessible and costly. I can’t even bare to fathom all of these changes.

Silver Lining
A valuable lesson in a pandemic is that there is always a silver lining in every dark situation. Only higher intelligence orchestrates the most challenging events to have humanity question why. This pandemic has been a learning lesson to all of us, each in a different way.
We will all have stories to tell on our experiences how life slowed down to all of us. Therefore, we can share &listen to the stories as this will bring us closer.
We HAD to slow down, and understand the harm we are all responsible for on the environment with over tourism .
The right to travel is for everyone but I believe we should not keep a blind eye and neglect protecting Mother Earth, the climate or wildlife to name a very few.
Do not stop travelling ; instead let’s be more responsible travellers. Therefore let’s all learn about regenerative tourism a new lifestyle on travel adventures.

Regenerative Tourism
What is regenerative tourism ? It is mindful travelling with the intention to repair the damage already done. Simply said, this may sound like a big task to take.
AT TRAVEL LIFE ADVENTURES WE BELIEVE IN TRULY IMPACTFUL AND MEANINGFUL PRACTICES THAT GO BEYOND JUST SUSTAINABILITY AND INTO REGENERATIVE PRACTICES FOR LAND, PEOPLE, AND CULTURE. IT IS VITAL TO BEGIN THINKING ABOUT RESTORING THE HEALTH OF OUR PLANET AND NOT JUST MAINTAINING IT.

I therefore encourage you to get informed on the above link on some ways we can all contribute positively to our planet, even the smallest thing. Be mindful and practice new ways of travelling.
Ways I Support Regenerative Tourism
Support Local : The best way to get an authentic travel experience is by eating , relating or buying local ( to name a few) .Local food is far better for the environment to support local farming. Food transportation is minimized resulting in a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to reduce carbon footprints.
This is far the best way you can give back to their community. Cultures have always accepted me in their country with an open heart . Giving back to the locals is far the most respectable and kind thing to do for them.
Choose Local Guide: Travel with a local tour guide or company . They should respect indigenous people , protecting wildlife, respect for or maintaining natural habitat. Spend your money wisely, do thorough research to decide.
Eco-friendly Activities : Choose activities that are not affecting the environment or harmful to wildlife .Be mindful . Choose life long learning experiences that leave a positive impact or a deep connection to it. Travelling is about contributing back through cultural experiences.
Transportation: Air travel releases a lot of carbon dioxide in the air affecting the environment and the oceans. Use air travel wisely and responsibly. Take a train for short durations . Avoid low cost airline to arrive quicker . Experience & practice slow travel .
Use Less Plastic : Do you know there are 8 million tons of plastic that go in the oceans? Every year!! This , therefore affects ocean species by death or injury with plastic entanglement. The use of plastic is a negative impact on the environment, our foods and our health.

You can find creative ways to avoid plastic. Pack a sustainable water bottle, bring bamboo toothbrush. Bring your own shopper bag at a local market. Reuse or recycle your plastic utensils, if given.
Recap
So what are some lessons you are learning during this pandemic? This quarantined life has questioned many things in our lives, which is a good thing. This has been also a time to start hobbies or project we have put on hold.
Slowing down and being silent allows you to go inside and find peace and solace during this uncertain times.
We all know we want all this to be over, see our friends, and go on with our lives. I am not sure when travel ban will reopen but I will continue to travel but in a new mindful way.
