Hidden Gem Slovenia
Travelling to Slovenia is a guarantee eye opener for how unexpectedly amazing it is. Home to Škocjan Caves, a natural sight protected by UNESCO or their famous white Lipizzaner horses and fairy tale Lake Bled.
Slovenia is a small country that is often overlooked & I don’t know why it’s not on the travel radar. It is one of those countries you discover only to wish you could have stayed longer.
It is nestled comfortably between Italy ,Austria , Croatia and Hungary. Majestic landscape, a skier’s paradise, a nature’s buff place to visit.
Why Go To Slovenia? I spent 1 night in Slovenia, the green destination . It has earned this name according to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

Spend at least 1 day Ljubljana, the capital, to feel the culture of each surrounding country is a joy to see yet a challenge to merge and communicate with the mix of Italians, Croatians or Austrians.
If you are like me and you enjoy local markets, go see the Central Market in Ljubljana . This is where you can taste their local food and meet every day people. They are friendly , charming with a quirky sense of humour.
Ideally 4-5 nights is the ideal time to visit Slovenia.
A la prochaine sweet Slovenia !
Here are my photos of my day in the beautiful green country.
