Let me explain & describe it to you that Eataly is a marketplace chain where you can shop high quality & authentic Italian food. It has a variety of restaurants, bakeries, food or beverages counters ,variety of wine , cooking schools or events. Walking inside of Eataly feels like you just landed in the largest marketplace in Italy.

There are 40 Eataly around the world in over 12 countries . Some of these include Italy, Brazil, Germany,Japan, Korea, UAE , Sweden , USA and now Canada.

Therefore, it is certain whenever I travel and Eataly will be there, I will most definitely visit !

Eataly Toronto

Furthermore , I have a secret !

I went to Toronto for 24 hrs ,specifically for Eataly, that is how obsessed I am with this place. It is my love affair with high quality Italian food. Italian excellence at its finest ,each store with a different unique experience.

Parmegiano Reggiano

Eataly Toronto is the first in Canada located in the Manulife Centre and is 50,000 square feet of pure Italian love . You can dine, shop or the option for food delivery or take out.

Equally important ,I had the opportunity to be invited to La Piazza & I was thrilled.

La Piazza

First ,let me give you the definition of La Piazza & why it is important in Italian culture. In Italy it is very common to see open public spaces & is considered the centre of public life. La piazza is also a place where locals meet & unite to discuss private matters. La piazza is the utmost Italian identity & people watch is ideal.

Walking to my seat I saw this open concept theme & feeling of the piazza we commonly see in Italy. It is casual , open and animated . I sensed La Dolce Vita ! Take me back !

La Piazza Restaurant

Once seated and handed the menu, I knew this was going to be difficult to choose. Dining at Eataly is not just about eating , it’s about the love affair with food, specifically Italian food. It’s about the combination of the senses like smell, sight, touch, hear or taste .The entire sensory experience starts as soon as you sit & when you open the menu.

Menu

Basically everything screamed delicious on the menu . With a little help from our very helpful & knowledgeable waiter Joey, our decision was made. In a world of instagram picture perfect world, it is difficult to describe a meal that left me speechless. It is hard to find delightful words to describe my culinary experience but I will sum it up with divine !

I was in a food coma for the rest of the evening that we decided to walk back to hotel. Growing up Italian, food coma was not unusual.

A Second Return ?

Most definitely I will return back to Toronto to go back to Eataly. It is always fun to return back to visit Toronto & this is what I shall do, visit Eataly again.

Thank you once again for this delightful invitation.

I was invited to have dinner at La Piazza but all opinions on this review is honestly my own.

Sharing is caring!
